Each Friday in the #TERPart challenge will be dedicated to featuring an artist that's innovative, interesting, and creative and today's follow Friday (#FF) prompt is inspired by the great artist, illustrator, & author Oliver Jeffers. Today's challenge is to look at his work and find something that intregues you then create a creative visual response. I've always loved Oliver's creative design, conceptual artwork and picture books like The Day the Crayons Quit.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Jeffers' studio in Brooklyn and gained a deep appreciation of his work and design and really love the spirit he brings to his work. It was such an inspirational creative space and it really made an impact-here's a peak!
I particularly love his is dipped painting series which beyond its obvious aesthetic appeal has an interesting backstory which you can learn about below:
